2023-24 School Year: What was most represented ethnicity in Brantley County schools?

Among the many ethnicities represented in Brantley County schools, white was the most prevalent among Brantley County students in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of the 3,167 students attending Brantley County schools, 89.4% were white. Hispanic students were the second most common ethnicity, making up 3.7% of Brantley County student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common group in Brantley County, representing 89.8% of the student body.

In the 2023-24 school year, the total number of students enrolled in public schools in the county increased 0.2% when compared to the previous year.

According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) 2024 reading report for Georgia 4th graders, the racial and ethnic composition of public school students was approximately 38% Black, 36% White, 17% Hispanic, 4% Asian, and 5% identifying as two or more races.
