Blake Tillery, a Republican who has represented Georgia’s 19th Senate District since 2017, recently shared updates on his public service and campaign activities through several posts on social media.

On March 29, 2026, Tillery marked the end of his tenure as a state senator by referencing his appearance on a statewide broadcast. He wrote, “For my final appearance on Georgia Public Broadcasting’s Lawmakers as a State Senator, I had one last important thing to take care of… Want to catch the full episode and hear more about the budget? Later that same day, Tillery highlighted his victory in an Oconee County GA Republican Party straw poll despite being from Vidalia. He stated, “Watkinsville is a long way from my home in Vidalia, which makes this Oconee County GA Republican Party straw poll victory even more meaningful. Our message is resonating with people all across Georgia. Why? Because Georgians want a Lieutenant Governor with a proven track record,”.

On March 30, 2026, he addressed economic concerns facing Georgia residents while emphasizing his stance against the state income tax. Tillery posted, ‘”Blake, you’re running for Lieutenant Governor, I think it’s safe to say you’re Georgia’s #1 enemy of the state income tax…” Georgians are struggling, and I have a plan to provide real relief. All we have to do is put people over corporations.’

Tillery was elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2017 after replacing Tommie Williams as representative for the state’s 19th Senate District.
