Blake Tillery, a Republican who has represented Georgia’s 19th Senate District since 2017, recently shared updates on his public engagements and legislative priorities through a series of posts on social media.
On January 14, 2026, Tillery posted about his participation in a community event: “I was honored to speak at the annual Faith and Freedom Legislative Luncheon. It was inspiring to hear from Coach Mark Richt and encouraging to see so many people come together to pray for our state and the new legislative session.”
Later that evening, he addressed supporters at another gathering: “It was a great evening with a large crowd at the Walton County GOP, discussing the future of Georgia and my plan to eliminate the state income tax. I’m grateful for the strong support we have in Walton County, including the endorsement of Sheriff Keith Brooks and the support of”
The following day, on January 15, 2026, Tillery promoted an opinion piece he authored regarding his proposal to abolish Georgia’s state income tax: “For all of our readers out there, check out my latest op-ed from the AJC about our plan to eliminate the state income tax.
‘Our recommendation helps everyone, but especially hard-working Georgians. Starting in 2027, the first $50,000 of income for'”
Tillery has served as a member of Georgia’s State Senate since winning election in 2017. He succeeded Tommie Williams as senator for District 19.
