Georgia State Panthers earned a 5-2 victory over the Charleston Southern Buccaneers on Saturday, March 7, at 3 p.m., with former Metter High School standout Brian Crooms playing for the Panthers in the NCAA Division I matchup.
The contest, held at GSU Baseball Complex, marked the second meeting between the teams this season. Georgia State had previously fallen to Charleston Southern, 15-7, on Friday, March 6.
Crooms pitched seven innings, yielding two earned runs while issuing two walks and striking out four.
Georgia State will face Charleston Southern Buccaneers again on Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m. at GSU Baseball Complex.
