Of the 3,960 people living in Metter in 2019, 49.8 percent (1,971) were women and 50.2 percent (1,989) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SE Georgia News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 1,137-to-1,134. In the 65 and over age range, there were 372 females and 315 males.
