Of the 2,665 people living in Claxton in 2019, 46.7 percent (1,245) were women and 53.3 percent (1,420) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SE Georgia News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 741-to-679. In the 65 and over age range, there were 204 females and 94 males.
