CITY OF ALMA: 1st Annual Citizens Police Academy “Bringing Unity to the Community” on July 20

City of Alma recently issued the following announcement.

Event Name: 1st Annual Citizens Police Academy “Bringing Unity to the Community”

Date: Tuesday, July 20, 2021 

Time: 7:00pm to 9:00pm

The City of Alma Police is hosting its 1st Annual Citizens Police Academy “Bringing Unity to the Community”

This will be a 10 week course to be held at the Alma Police Department every Tuesday from 7pm-9pm beginning June 1, 2021. Courses will include basic instructions on Georgia Criminal and Traffic Law, Community Policing, Criminal Investigations, Crime Scene Processing, Use of Force, Drug/Gang Recognition, School Resource Officer Program, Use of Radar and Patrol Techniques, and Firearm Familiarization.

If you are interested in attending the program, please apply in person during normal business at the Alma Police Department, 102 S. Thomas St. Alma, Ga 31510
