Appling Healthcare Weekly COVID-19 Update

Appling Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug.20

Appling Healthcare reports three cases of COVID-19 among residents at the Appling Nursing and Rehabilitation Pavilion. Nursing home residents will continue to be tested on a weekly basis or upon onset of symptoms, until further notice.

The nursing home reports five cases of COVID-19 among employees and no test results are pending on additional nursing home employees.

Additionally, Appling Healthcare reports two cases of COVID-19 among hospital employees. No test results are pending on hospital employees.

As a reminder, Appling Healthcare Emergency Department is not a COVID-19 testing site. If you need a COVID-19 test and you are not experiencing a medical emergency, please call your local health department or healthcare provider.

If you would like a COVID-19 vaccine, call (855)473-4374.

If you have questions or concerns, message Appling Healthcare via Facebook. Your message will be immediately routed to the appropriate department. Another option is to send an email to covid19@appling-hospital.org. Your email will automatically be routed to the nursing home administration team, as well as hospital staff.

If you prefer to call the hospital or the nursing home, please understand that employees are focusing on hands-on patient care. Call the main hospital phone number, (912)367-9841, and then reach the administration team through their direct extensions:
