Appling Hospital issued the following announcement on Sept. 20
Appling Healthcare reports no additional cases of COVID-19 among residents at the Appling Nursing and Rehabilitation Pavilion and 35 test results are pending on nursing home residents. Nursing home residents will continue to be tested on a weekly basis or upon onset of symptoms, until further notice.
The nursing home reports no additional cases of COVID-19 among employees and no test results are pending on nursing home employees.
Additionally, Appling Healthcare reports two cases of COVID-19 among hospital employees. No test results are pending on hospital employees.
Appling Healthcare updated the following processes for patient updates and dropping off patient items:
- To help reduce the call volumes Appling Healthcare is receiving, please limit the calls to the ONE designated family member identified upon the patient’s admission, who can call between 10 am – 12 pm for their daily update.
- If a patient needs or wants personal belongings or food (which much be approved by the patient’s doctor), please drop these items off between 12 pm – 1 pm and 5 pm – 6 pm.
If you have questions or concerns, message Appling Healthcare via Facebook. Your message will be immediately routed to the appropriate department. Another option is to send an email to covid19@appling-hospital.org. Your email will automatically be routed to the nursing home administration team, as well as hospital staff.
