Baxley-Appling County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 20
The Baxley-Appling County Board of Tourism had an excellent turnout for our Annual Fall Canoe/Kayak Paddle down the Altamaha River, with a total of 53 participants! This year's paddle was 9 miles from Eason's Bluff Landing to Carter's Bight Landing. We provided lunch from K&L BBQ for all participants at the end of the paddle.
We want to thank the Appling County Board of Education for providing the shuttle bus and Richard Riddle for safely shuttling all participants to and from each landing.
Please mark your calendars for our next excursion, the River Rat Run, to be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Registration forms will be available on baxley.org in 2022.
