Trunk or Treat set for October 28

Appling Hospital issued the following announcement on Oct. 19

Appling Healthcare is set to host 2021 Trunk or Treat, a community-wide event, on Thursday, Oct. 28th, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Appling County Agriculture Center. The center is located at 2761 Blackshear Hwy. in Baxley. All children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Set-up time starts at 3:30 p.m. All cars must be completely set up by 5:30 pm.
Prize will be awarded for the best trunk. Judging will begin at 5:30 p.m. sharp.
Individual spaces will measure approximately 14 ft. x 18 ft.
Please keep trunks and costumes PG/kid friendly.
Candy suggestion: Keep in mind that you will need to supply your own candy. In years past, we have seen a large number of people come through. We would recommend having at least 4 to 5 large boxes of candy for distribution.

Even though this event is outdoors, we do recommend that everyone follow CDC/DPH guidance on protecting themselves from COVID-19. We will do our best to space people out as they pass through the line.
