City of Hazlehurst issued the following announcement on Dec. 2
Help honor our veterans with the special purchase of a Christmas ornament to be placed on a tree at Veterans Square Park in Hazlehurst. Each ornament will have the veteran’s name and branch of service placed upon it. The event helps fund scholarships, Memorial and Veterans Day events, and the placement of flags and crosses around our community during several holidays and patriotic events.
The cost for each ornament is $10, cash or check only, and it will be displayed on the Christmas tree until New Year’s Eve, December 31. Save and then print the application below. Applications can be picked up and dropped off at Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County Chamber of Commerce at the Big House on Jarman Street, dropped off at Hazlehurst City Hall on South Cromartie Street, or mailed to Jeff Davis County Veterans Association, Inc., P.O.
