Lunch and Learn on March 5

Meeting 11

Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb.

Has your company struggled to hire workers or suffered from high-turnover rates? Have you been  considering hiring local high school students as part-time workers, interns, for summer work programs or apprenticeships, but you didn’t know where to start? Have you worried about labor laws or insurance concerns?

This program is designed to help! We will have our school system’s youth worker representatives from CTAE and Work-based Learning programs discussing how your company can participate in these programs. We will also have Youth Worker expert Jenny Houlroyd from the GaTech Enterprise Innovation Institute discussing Georgia Labor Laws and addressing insurance concerns. Please make plans to attend now! RSVP by February 25th to John Henry at jhenry@douglasga.org.
