At today’s Middle School Assembly, Service to Others was the main theme. First, 7th/8th grade history teacher and Student Council sponsor Chip Kirksey handed a $600 check to Jerry from Cancer Support Services (formerly known as The Lydia Project). The donation came from money raised through snack cart and the All-School Carnival in October.
Also, Prep parents Aisha and Nadia chatted about the Weekend Meals Program. In February, Prep will collect weekly food donations and make bags for students in need at two local elementary schools. Flyers explaining the Weekend Meals program and acceptable food donations will be sent home with all Middle School students.
