Pierce County: How many students were enrolled in Pierce County High School during 2022-23 school year?

Pierce County High School had the highest enrollment among Pierce County schools, welcoming 1,003 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were male, and 49% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 78% of the Pierce County High School total enrollment.

Among the five schools in Pierce County, Pierce County Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 821 students, while Blackshear Elementary School welcomed 748 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Pierce County High School is part of Pierce County School District, which generally encompasses schools within Pierce County, with its main office in Blackshear.

In the previous school year, Pierce County High School also had the highest number of students among Pierce County schools.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
