Earlier this week, the Greater Vidalia Youth Leadership Class of 2024-2025 celebrated their graduation at Lyons First Baptist Church. The students showcased their learning about leadership, community impact, and their roles as future leaders. Throughout the program, they explored key industries such as agriculture, economic development, and healthcare while also developing skills in professional development and leadership.

Georgia First Bank awarded two $500 scholarships to Ava Helms and Jaley Owen for their essays on "What can I do to make my community better?" The program expressed pride in these young leaders and anticipation for their future contributions.

Brewton-Parker College served as the presenting sponsor for the event. Graduation sponsors included Georgia First Bank and The Temples Company.

The program encourages rising juniors or seniors interested in participating to contact Amber O’Connor at ambero@greatervidaliachamber.com for an application.
