The Samaritan's Purse Project 'Operation Christmas Child' collects shoebox gifts‑filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items and delivers the shoebox gifts to children in need around the world to demonstrate love in a tangible way. Each year, Mitchell County Primary School participates in the Samaritan’s Purse Project Operation Christmas Child. This is a great way to teach the students how to be kind to others in need and how to show love and generosity to others less fortunate. Mitchell County Primary School’s Annual Operation Christmas Child Program was Thursday, November 17, 2022. Students placed boxes around the globe as the song 'Light the Candles All Around the World' played. The Baby Eagle Cheer Squad performed two cheers to get the student body into the Christmas Spirit. .
