The Trail, the student news site of McIntosh High, was honored at the 2023 Georgia Scholastic Press Association (GSPA) Awards.
Out of more than 650 individual entries, the staff of The Trail brought home one All-Georgia award, the top award in the state, and 10 superior awards for their writing.
Luke Soule won an All-Georgia award in Social Media Breaking News.
Staff members earned 9 Superior marks: Savannah Hayes won for Feature Story and Social Media Storytelling; Ava Flores won for Sports News Story; Rebekah Bushmire won for Social Media Promotion; Luke Soule won for Feature Profile; Savannah Hayes and Grace Lovejoy both won for In-Depth News; and Lulu Vitulo and Rebekah Bushmire both won for Social Media Breaking News. The Trail editorial board won for House Editorial.
